Shadblow Serviceberry (Sold Out)

Shadblow serviceberries are one of the first trees to bloom in spring, dripping in delicate white flowers before most trees have started to grow leaves. At Root Nashville’s nursery, they’re grown as a single-stem tree, giving them an upright form that works well in smaller yards. After flowering, they produce small purple-red berries that are edible for people and often described as sweeth with a blueberry-like flavor. The fruit is also enjoyed by birds, so harvest quickly if you want to eat some! In fall, the foliage turns shades of red, orange, and gold.
